Questions about Zekazi
Clear answers about the current Zekazi whiteboard, collaboration, voice, AI, exports, connected documents, and account access.
What is Zekazi?
Zekazi is an online whiteboard for visual thinking, brainstorming, planning, explaining ideas, creating diagrams, and working together in one shared visual space.
What can I use Zekazi for?
You can brainstorm ideas, create mind maps and diagrams, plan work, explain concepts visually, draw, write, organize ideas, and collaborate with other people.
Where should I start?
Start with what you want to accomplish. Open a board, add your first idea, then write, draw, connect, organize, or invite others as your work develops.
Do I need experience with online whiteboards?
No. You can start with a blank board and learn the tools while you work. Zekazi is designed to let you begin simply and add more structure when you need it.
Do I need an account to use Zekazi?
You can open and explore the whiteboard without signing in. Sign in is required for protected account features such as collaboration, collaboration voice, connected document services, and document sources for Zekazi AI.
How do I sign in?
Choose Continue with Google or request a secure magic link by email. Zekazi does not require you to create a separate password. On the same device, the login panel can also show the method you most recently used successfully.
Does signing in with Google give Zekazi access to my Google Docs?
No. Signing in with Google and connecting Google Docs are separate actions. Zekazi asks for Google Docs access only when you intentionally connect Google Docs from an integration or document workflow.
What can I add to a whiteboard?
You can draw, write text, create notes and checklists, add shapes and connectors, build tables, and use the Items library for frames, layouts, interface components, icons, and reusable visual elements. Board objects remain editable and movable.
How do I move around a large board?
Drag an empty area of the canvas to pan naturally. You can also hold Space while dragging or use the middle mouse button. Trackpads can move around the board normally, and the zoom control lets you zoom in, zoom out, return to 100%, or fit your content.
Can I resize tables and other items?
Yes. Resizable board items can be adjusted directly on the canvas. Collaborative tables follow the size of their outer box, with columns expanding proportionally when space is available and horizontal scrolling when the table becomes too narrow.
What can Zekazi AI do?
Zekazi AI can use the current board as context, answer questions about your work, create editable board objects, build diagrams, update supported items, and add simple visual annotations. AI changes are validated by Zekazi before they are applied to the board.
Can Zekazi AI work with Google Docs or Notion?
Yes. After you connect the service, you can choose one authorized Google Doc or Notion page as the active document source. Zekazi AI can read that selected source for relevant requests and can perform supported targeted edits when you explicitly ask it to change the external document.
Does a selected document stay connected to the AI conversation?
The selected document remains the active source until you change or remove it. Later requests can continue using that source without pasting the same link again. Requests about the board can still use only the whiteboard.
Can Zekazi AI delete my whole board or external document?
Destructive agent actions such as clearing the full board are intentionally restricted. External document editing is limited to supported targeted changes rather than deleting or replacing the whole document. AI output can still be wrong, so review important changes.
Does Zekazi save my work automatically?
Regular board work is saved automatically in the browser. Boards connected through collaboration also maintain a protected server copy for authorized members. Export important work when you want an additional portable backup.
How does collaboration work?
Signed in users can create a collaboration invite from Share. Each one-time code can be used by one signed-in editor and expires after 60 minutes if unused. The first editor who joins starts the live collaboration session.
What are the current collaboration limits?
Free live collaboration sessions last up to 20 minutes, support up to 5 people total including the owner, and can be started up to 3 times in each seven-day period. Later collaborators join the same running session and do not restart the 20-minute timer. If collaboration stays inactive with nobody present for 60 minutes, old editor access and unused invite codes expire.
Can collaborators talk by voice?
Yes. Voice is optional inside an active live collaboration session. It uses the same session and does not start a separate 20-minute timer or use a separate weekly allowance.
Does Zekazi record voice sessions?
Zekazi does not currently provide voice recording as part of the collaboration voice feature. Voice is intended for live discussion beside the board.
What happens if microphone permission is blocked?
Zekazi cannot publish your voice until your browser or device allows microphone access. You can update the site permission in your browser settings and then try joining voice again.
Is collaboration fully real time?
Shared boards synchronize on an ongoing basis and use revision conflict handling to protect unsynchronized local work. Presence and voice are supporting features and should not be treated as a guarantee that every board action is transmitted instantly.
Which export formats work today?
Zekazi currently supports PNG and JSON board data exports. PNG is useful for quick visual sharing, while JSON keeps the board structure for portability.
Can I export directly to Google Docs or Notion?
Yes. Users who are signed in can connect Google Docs or Notion and create a new document or page from extracted whiteboard text. The integration sends board text, not the complete visual canvas, so drawings and layout are not reproduced as a full whiteboard image.
What access does the Google Docs connection request?
Zekazi uses a Google Drive permission limited to files you use with Zekazi instead of requesting unrestricted access to your entire Drive. Zekazi also uses the connected account information needed to identify the integration.
